About the Destination

Hokkaido, the northernmost of Japans main islands, is known for its volcanoes, natural hot springs (onsen) and ski areas. Rugged Daisetsuzan National Park is home to steaming, volcanic Mount Asahi. Shikotsu-Tya National Park contains caldera lakes, geothermal springs and a Mount Fuji look-alike, Mount Ytei. Popular ski resorts include Rusutsu, Furano and Niseko.

Lake Toya is a volcanic caldera lake in Shikotsu-Toya National Park, Abuta District, Hokkaid, Japan. It is part of "Toya Caldera and Usu Volcano Global Geopark" which joins in Global Geoparks Network. The stratovolcano of Mount Usu lies on the southern rim of the caldera.

Day 1 Arrival - Chitose - Lake Toya (D)
  • Upon arrival New Chitose International Airport, you will be transferred to Lake Toya.
  • Noboribetsu Jigokudani (Hell Valley) - Is a volcanic caldera created by the eruption of Mount Hiyoriyama. From the valley, there are attractive walking trails through the wooded hills above Noboribetsu.
  • Usuzan Ropeway - Take a ride on Usuzan Ropeway, up to the UNESCO Global Geopark to visit the active volcano & panoramic views of Lake Toya and neighboring Showa Shinzan.
  • Showa Shinzan Bear Ranch - See frolicking baby bears and sense the might of adult bears. There's also a feeding event you can take part in, and a special observation room where you can take a peek at the secret lives of bears.
  • After all excitement, you will be proceed to Lake Toya. Check-in and free & easy.

Day 2 Lake Toya - Otaru - Sapporo (B/L/D)
  • Today, you will be visit Otaru top attractions.
  • Nikka Whisky Distillery - Visit the high quality of Japanese whisky with the award-winning distillery. Enjoy a shots of whisky here!
  • Otaru Canal - Is symbol of Otatu with 1,140 meter-long canal located in Hokkaido.
  • Kitaichi Glass Emporium - Otaru is well known as a glassware store. It also contains retailers of original glass products such as colorful glasses and lamps as well as cafe bars where stained glass spreads across the ceiling.
  • Otaru Music Box Museum - Visit a music museum in the Otaru Orgel-do II building, which includes various examples of music boxes as well as CDs that have music box-esque versions of various songs.
  • Drive through Odori Park, Clock Tower and Sapporo TV Tower.

Day 3 Sapporo (B)
  • Free at your leisure, you may spend a little more time at a particular landmark, explore additional sightseeing spots or even go for a shopping spree.

Day 4 Sapporo (B)
  • Free at your leisure, you may spend a little more time at a particular landmark, explore additional sightseeing spots or even go for a shopping spree.

Day 5 Departure - Sapporo (B)

  • You will be transferred to New Chitose International Airport for your flight back home.

Itinerary 

  • The Itinerary is for reference only and visiting sequence may be different, and is subject to any necessary changes in accordance with local operational requirements.
  • By going private gives you the advantage of greater flexibility in pace and choice. You can spend a little more time at a particular landmark, add your favourite spot or even skip one altogether. All are possibilities on our Private Tour!
  • You have a choice of a Mandarin Speaking or basic English Speaking Driver Guide will be provided during the sightseeing tour. (English Speaking Driver subject to availability)

Accommodation

  •  Your final hotel name and details will be provided 5 days prior to tour departure. In the unlikely event, the operator reserves the right to change the hotel of a similar class.
  • You must not exceed the maximum specified occupancy for the room type which you have booked. For the extra bed, the hotel may arrange a bed, a couch type bed or a roll-away bed
  • Child policy: 7 years old and above must apply to Child with bed fare.

Meal

  • Breakfasts are mostly buffet at the hotel. Lunch and dinner are mostly local group meals.
  • If the meals not included in the program. Simple lunch and dinner price is about JPY 1000 - JPY 2500  per person.

Transportation

  • You will have your own dedicated driver-guide or local guide with private transportation.
  • Tour will be operating by van or coach depends on the group size.
  • Each person with 1 piece of baggage. Each baggage must not exceed 81cm (H) x 119cm (W) x 119 cm (D).
  • The maximum usage of the vehicle is 10 hours or 300 km, a surcharge will apply for exceeding 10 hours usage or 300 km.

Entrance Ticket

  • Tour Guide will assist you to purchase entrance ticket at your own cost if entrance ticket is not included.

Extension

  • For the customer who extension of stay, departure airport transfer will be provided when the extension accommodation is booked through us.

Airport Pick Up Information:

  • Arrival & departure airport transfers will be operating by private vehicle exclusively for your party.
  • Arrival - The local representative will be waiting at the meeting point holding a placard wait for you up to 1 hour 20 minutes from your flight landing time. If you are delayed, please message to driver or emergency contact person. A surcharge will be imposed.
  • Departure - The pick-up time is 4 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time. The pick-up information will be updated on the booking confirmation. 

Tour Pick Up Information:

  • Your final pick-up information will be provided on your final tour itinerary prior to your arrival.

Guidelines During The Tour:

  • You have to wait at the hotel lobby 10 minutes before pick up time.
  • The operator will not take responsibility if the attraction is closed due to maintenance or any other situation beyond the operator's control. No refunds or reschedules will be issued in this case

  • We recommend that you check with your Local Embassy for the visa requirement of your nationality. This is to ensure that you have a pleasant holiday.

Travel Insurance

Cancellation & Refund Policy Before Tour Departure Date

  • All cancellation must be made in writing.
  • 10% of the total tour fare will be imposed for cancellation after confirmation of the tour.
  • 50% of the total tour fare will be imposed for cancellation made between 15 to 30 days prior to departure.
  • 100% of the total tour fare will be imposed for cancellation made less than 14 days prior to departure.
